Looking to beat the winter blues? Ice skating is a fun and inexpensive way to get out of your house and have a blast.

Here are 10 places you can go skating in Chittenden and Franklin County.

  1. Bombardier Park West, Milton 

The rink is not open yet, according to Milton Recreation. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for updates.  

  1. Essex Skating Facility 

This Essex-Westford School District facility has public skating days, including on most Sunday afternoons. Make sure to check for the most updated times on its website . The entry fee is $3 for students and $4 for adults. It costs $4 to rent skates.  

Public skating will occur at the following times in January:

Sunday, Jan. 22:   2 p. m. -4: 30 g. m.

Sunday, Jan. 29: 2 p. m. -4: 30 p. m.

  1. Airport Park Roller skating Rink, Colchester

  1. Westford Department of Recreation Skating Rink

The town green in Westford is home to a skating rink that’s open every day. It is open to the public as of Monday, January. 17, according to the Westford Department of Recreation’s Facebook web page.

  1. Highgate Arena

The Highgate Arena will be hosting public skating every Sunday this winter from 2: 30-4: 15 l. m. The entry fee is $3 for youth and $4 for adults. Kids under 5 skate free.

  1. Collins Perley Sports Complex, St . Albans

Public skating on the sports center’s indoor rink costs $6 for adults and $4 for kids plus seniors over age 55.

Collins Perley will have public skating at the following occasions in January:

Thursday, Jan. 19: 9 a. m. -12 p. m.

Friday, Jan. 20: 9 a. m. -12 p. meters.

Sunday, Jan. 22: 12: 15 p. m. -1: 30 p. m.

7. Fairfax Ice Skating Rink, Fairfax

The Fairfax Ice skating rink is open now, according to Fairfax Parks and Recreation. The skating rink is located at Fairfax Community Park and has no set hours. It is typically open through dawn to dusk, depending on the weather.

8. JMMY Center, Georgia

The JMMY Middle outdoor ice skating rink will be opening Friday, Jan. 20. The rink will be open from dawn to 8 p. m. since it has lights, according to the JMMY Center.

9. George H. Paquette Ice Arena, Burlington

It costs $5 per adult and $4 per student to skate at this arena in Leddy Park within Burlington. Public skating is available 9-10: 30 a. mirielle. Monday through Thursday.

ten. Callahan Park, Burlington

Callahan Park has an outdoor general public ice skating rink that is available to the public, according to Burlington Parks and Recreation’s facebook page .
