UPDATE: The city of Marble Falls postponed the opening night of the ice rink from Nov. 19 to Nov. 22.
The Marble Falls Winter Ice skating Rink opens Nov. 22 next to the Walkway of Lights display at Lakeside Park, 305 Buena Vista Drive.
Rink hours are 5-10 p.m. through most of the holiday season with some closures and reduced hours in observance of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Delays and closures, including those due to weather, will be announced by 3 p.m. each day via the @ChristmasInMarbleFalls social media pages.
Ice rink tickets are $10 when purchased in advance online and $12 at the gate. Rink admission includes one hour on the ice and skate rental. Skates range from children’s size 5 to men’s size 12. Visitors are allowed to bring their own skates.
During Snow Nights on Tuesdays and Fridays, skaters can glide across the ice as artificial snow falls from machines stationed around the rink.
Admission to Walkway of Lights is free. The display is open 6-10 p.m. and runs along the shoreline of Lake Marble Falls. It’s located next to the rink, so visitors can take a leisurely stroll through the lights before or after an invigorating hour of skating.
